Ocre Havane (= havane ochre) is the only orange hue of the ochres of Vaucluse and is made from natural earth rich in iron oxide. Its rich, golden-brown tone may also contain small amounts of manganese or clay that deepen the color. It sits in the color range between yellow ochre and raw sienna, with a slightly smoky, golden-brown tint. It’s more muted than yellow ochre, with a warm, nostalgic depth
Our Havane Ochre pigment is non-toxic, making it safe for all painting mediums. It is also lightfast, meaning it resists fading over time.
